FUNDRAISER
Job Mission
•The fundraiser conducts her/his work according to valid manuals and guidelines and the Fund Development & Communications Department’s planning and reporting procedure.
Main Clients:
•External : Potential and actual donors
•Head of Fundraising
•Fundraising team colleagues and communication
•Regional Office / Fundraising & Individual Giving
Major responsibilities:
•Creative in raising funds from individuals according to the business plan and targets.
•Uses a strategic mix of products (committed giving, single/sporadic gifts, merchandising, in Kind donations…), and channels (direct mail, face2face, telemarketing, events...)
•Builds long lasting relationships with individual donors (donor lifetime cycle)
•Is responsible for fulfilling the business plan and for reaching the set and agreed targets.
•Database Management and donor segmentation.
•Assist in managing sponsor/donor relations.
•Assist in tasks that are related to communicating with sponsors/donors
•Meeting with and presenting SOS work to potential donors
Skills and experience required:
•Self-motivated, determined, innovative, pro-active and with a “can do” mentality, i.e. ability to identify and take advantage of fundraising opportunities.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills in English/Arabic.
•Good MS Office commands (Word, Power Point, Excel)
•Experience in Telemarketing, Sales, Communication, Marketing or any related field
•Knowledge and experience in customer relationship management is a plus (Loyalty program)
